The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count
slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all

Often we try to trap God in our time schemes. We lay out
plans and schedules, and expect Him to conform. God sent His Son into the world
as quickly as the world was prepared to receive Him. When the Father saw that
the sacrificial system with its types and shadows had been established, and
that the prophetic word pointing to the Messiah had been heard, the world was
in readiness for the Messiah, and at the precise moment in accord with His
plan, sent Him to us—in “the fullness of time” (Galatians 4:4
